FAQ on reseller account password reset

The password of your OpenSRS reseller account expires regularly and needs to be reset once in every six months for improved security. The password can be changed from the Account settings tab in the Reseller Control Panel.

My password has already expired. How will I gain access to the control panel?

  1. In case your password has already expired, or you no longer remember the password to log in, you can trigger a password reset email using the forgot password link.
  2. Type in the username of your reseller account and click Send. Our system will send a password reset email to the email address linked to your reseller account.

  3. The email you receive will contain a link to reset the password of your account. The link will be valid for six hours. You have to click on the link, type in a new password, and click the Change password button. reset-password.png

How will I gain access if I don't remember the reseller username?

Please contact the OpenSRS support team, and we can engage our Compliance team to verify your profile and help you gain access to the control panel.

What if I don't remember the email address linked to my account?

When you trigger the password reset email using the forgot password option, our system shows a message with a hint to help you identify your email address.

What happens if my password has expired and the email address linked to my profile is invalid?

If you no longer have access to the email address linked to your reseller account, please contact OpenSRS support. The support team can then help you update a valid email address on your account with the help of our Compliance team.

My email address is valid, but I haven't received a password reset link?

If you have already triggered the password reset email and you haven't received a password reset email, please contact OpenSRS support. We can check the email logs and identify if there is any issue in email delivery.

Which address will I receive the password reset email from?

The subject of the email will be "Password reset request for your reseller account," and it will be sent from [email protected].
