This article covers the database included with each hosted site, including how to access and configure it.
Database Details
Each site is provisioned with a single database. At this time, it is not possible to add additional databases.
Server type: MySQL
Infrastructure: Amazon RDS
Database Access
From Hosting Manager
- Log into the Hosting Manager
- Select the desired site
- Click phpMyAdmin under Quick Links. You will be logged in automatically.
Directly via Browser
- Go to phpmyadmin.yourdomain.com
- Log in with your database username and password as displayed in Hosting Manager.
Note: Replace yourdomain.com with your actual hosted domain name.
Database Configuration
If you are configuring or installing your own application, use the Hostname URL listed under Database server in phpMyAdmin as the host name when entering your database connection details.
The database hostname/endpoint is not externally accessible. Connections to the database can only be made from within the hosting environment itself.
