Actalis is a European Certification Authority (CA) that issues SSL server certificates globally and is partnered with Tucows to offer SSL products through the OpenSRS Reseller Control Panel (RCP) and OpenSRS API. About Actalis
Actalis is qualified under the European eIDAS (electronic IDentification, Authentication and Signature) regulation to provide trust services, including electronic and digital signatures. With more than 20 years as a CA, Actalis is one of Europe's largest providers and ranks in the top 10 worldwide by SSL market share according to Netcraft. It is the only Italian CA that is a member of the CAB Forum.

Actalis SSL certificates offered
Actalis offers the full range of SSL certificate validation levels, each available in multiple coverage types.

Before you begin
- Reseller Control Panel access: Sign in to the Reseller Control Panel.
- Certificate Signing Request (CSR): Generate the CSR for the web server that will use the certificate.
- Organization details: For OV and EV products, gather the organization contact information and either an organization number or VAT number.
- SAN list: If ordering a SAN certificate, finalize the list of hostnames. SAN names cannot be updated once the order has been submitted.
Step 1: Open the Trust section
- In the Reseller Control Panel, click Trust.
- Click the + icon to start a new order.
Step 2: Choose the Actalis service
- From the Select a supplier drop-down list, choose Actalis.
- From the Select a service drop-down list, choose the Actalis SSL certificate you want to purchase.
- For domain-vetted certificates, enter the domain name to associate with the service.
- Click Continue to next step.
Step 3: Submit the CSR and choose server settings
- Paste the CSR into the certificate settings field.
- Select the appropriate web server type.
Warning: SAN names cannot be updated after the order is submitted. Confirm the SAN list before continuing.
Step 4: Enter the organization contact
- Complete the organization contact section.
- If an organization number or VAT is required, submit only one of the two.
Step 5: Enter contact information and submit
- Complete the individual contact fields.
- Click Submit.
Note: DV products require admin contacts only. OV and EV products require admin contacts plus organization contacts.
Actalis API partners
Resellers integrated with the OpenSRS API can order and manage Actalis certificates programmatically.

Next steps
- Complete domain validation: Approve the validation email, add the DNS record, or upload the file as instructed.
