The Files feature in Webmail lets you store, organize, and share files directly from your mailbox. You can keep up to 2,000 files and create up to 100 folders, including subfolders, as long as you stay within your total space quota. Any single folder can hold up to 1,000 files.
About Webmail Files
Files works like a personal cloud storage area inside Webmail. You can upload almost any file type, arrange files into folders and subfolders, move them between folders, and generate shareable links so other people can view or download them.
Folders always appear in alphanumerical order, and you cannot reorder them manually. Subfolders can be nested up to five levels deep.
Note: File and folder names can be any length, but names longer than 80 characters are truncated in the file-sharing display, with the missing part shown as an ellipsis (...).
Step 1: Upload files
Before you can upload a file, save it to your computer. You can then add it to any folder in your Files section.
- Click the Files tab.
- Navigate to the folder where you want to store the file.
- Click Upload file here.
- Locate the file you want and click Open.
- The file uploads to the folder you selected.
Note: You can upload any type of file, such as Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PDFs, photos, and videos, as long as you do not exceed your total space quota.
Step 2: Create folders
Folders help you keep your files organized. You can create up to 100 folders in total, including subfolders.
- Click the Files tab.
- Select Create folder from the toolbar at the top.
- Enter a name for the folder in the text field.
- Press the check mark.

Subfolders let you organize files within a parent folder. You can nest subfolders up to five levels deep.
- Click the Files tab.
- Select the folder you want to use as the parent folder.
- Click Create folder and enter a name for your subfolder.
Step 4: Move files into a folder
If you have already uploaded files, you can move them into any existing folder at any time.
- Click the Files tab.
- Select the file or files you want to move.
- Choose Move from the actions toolbar.

Step 5: Delete a file or folder
You can remove files and folders you no longer need.
- Click the Files tab.
- Hover your cursor over the file or folder you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
- Click Ok to confirm.
Warning: Deleting a folder also deletes all files and subfolders inside it. If you delete a shared file, anyone currently viewing it will no longer be able to see it.
Step 6: Share files or folders
To share a file or folder, mark it as shared and then distribute its URL by email, website, blog, or social media. The file remains in your list, and you can still rename or delete it.
- Go to the Files tab.
- Select the file or folder you want to share.
- Choose Share to create a link.
- Select the link icon beside the shared item. The URL appears beneath it so you can copy and paste it wherever you want to share.
- When anyone opens the URL in a browser, the corresponding file or folder is displayed.
Tip: You cannot attach a file stored in Files directly to an email message, but you can email its shareable URL instead.
Tip: To save an email attachment to Files, first download the attachment to your computer, then upload it to your Files section using the steps above.
