The Storefront domain push tool lets you move domains between accounts without changing registrant information. It also allows you to update the customer account associated with a domain or create a new account for that domain. This tool is helpful for consolidating accounts or relocating domains as needed.
Key Reasons to Push a Domain
- Your customer has multiple accounts due to domain importing and wants to consolidate all their domains into one.
- If your customer wishes to change their username, you can assist them.
- Your customers want to organize their domains into different accounts for various reasons, such as separating their domains from those they manage for friends or family, or managing the billing on a personal credit card rather than a business credit card.
- You want to fulfill domains sold or registered separately into a new or existing customer account.
Pushing a Domain into Another Account
- Log in to Storefront.
- Select the Domains tab, choose the domain you want to push, and select Change next to username under Customer Details.
- Choose the account to which the domain will be pushed. Storefront offers two methods for pushing the domain into another account:
- If the account exists, type the account name in the search bar and select it.
- If the account doesn’t exist, you can create one. Fill in the new account details and select Create Account.
Example Emails sent to your customer
If you select the option to notify your customers about their newly created accounts, they will need to complete these steps to begin using their accounts.
Note: Emails sent from your account will include your customized logo for branding.
Step 1: Access your account
- Click the Login to your account button provided in the setup email.
- Use the username and temporary password included in the email to log in.
Step 2: Set up your password
- After logging in, you'll be prompted to create a strong, new password for your account.
Step 3: Review your account information
- Once your password is set, you're all set!
- You can now begin exploring your account and reviewing your details.
