When creating a new WordPress site, you can choose from three setup options: Quick Start, Advanced Setup, and Import Site.

Creating WordPress Site with Quick Start

Quick Start is the fastest way to get a WordPress site up and running.

  • The platform automatically creates a secure admin user and applies default WordPress settings.
  • WordPress user credentials are never displayed in the Hosting Manager.
  • To manage your site, including updating user details, use the automatic login link in the Hosting Manager - this gives you direct access to your WordPress dashboard without needing to enter credentials manually.
  • The automatic login option remains available even after you make changes to your WordPress users.

Creating WordPress Site with Advanced Setup

Advanced Setup gives you control over your WordPress configuration before the site is created.

  • You can customize WordPress settings at order time, such as: language, admin email, search engine visibility, admin username, and admin password.
  • The automatic login option is still available in the Hosting Manager when using Advanced Setup.

Creating WordPress Site with Import Site

Import Site allows you to replace the default WordPress installation with an existing site.

  • Upload your site files and database to migrate an existing WordPress site during site creation.
  • For step-by-step instructions, refer to the WordPress Import Tool Guide.

Security recommendations

To protect your WordPress site, we suggest these best practices:

  • Use a Strong Password: Contains at least 14 characters, including a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Add an extra layer of protection with two-factor authentication.
  • Keep WordPress Updated: Regularly update WordPress core, themes, and plugins to protect against vulnerabilities.
