Backup & Restore Guide

Your hosted websites are protected with automatic daily backups and an easy-to-use one-click restore feature. This ensures you can quickly recover your site in case of accidental data loss, corruption, or other issues - no extra plugins or manual setup required. Backups are stored securely, with the last 5 copies available for you to restore at any time.

How It Works

Automatic Daily Backups

• Every hosted site is backed up automatically once every 24 hours.
• No action is required from you.
• Each backup includes all website files and your database.

Backup Retention

• Up to 5 recent backups are stored per site.
• Older backups are automatically deleted as new ones are created.

Restore Your Site in One Click

1. Go to your hosting control panel and select your Order.
2. Open your site's Backups section.
3. Select a backup from the list (labeled with date and time), then click Restore.
4. Confirm the restore action - this will replace your current site with the backup.

Important Notes

• Deactivated Sites - Backups are paused for deactivated sites, but you can still restore from existing backups.
• Deleted Sites - Backups are retained while sites are still recoverable. Once a site is beyond it’s recovery window, all backups are deleted.

Best Practices

• Check timestamps before restoring to ensure you're selecting the correct backup.
• Use backups to recover from accidental file deletion, website corruption after updates, or security incidents.
• Try restoring from the most recent backup first. If the issue remains, try an earlier backup.

FAQ

Q: Can I download my backups?
A: Not at this time. Backups are stored on our secure servers for restore purposes only.

Q: Can I trigger a backup manually?
A: Currently, backups run automatically every 24 hours.

Q: How long does a restore take?
A: Restore times depend on the size of your site. In most cases, restores finish within 10 minutes, but larger sites may take longer.
