Troubleshooting Reseller Control Panel Blank Page

If the OpenSRS Reseller Control Panel loads as a blank page, the cause is almost always outdated session data stored in your browser cache. This article walks through the fixes — in the order most likely to resolve the problem — before you open a support ticket.

Why this happens

The Reseller Control Panel can sometimes cache stale session data, which prevents the interface from rendering and leaves you looking at a blank screen. OpenSRS engineering is working on a permanent fix; in the meantime, clearing or bypassing the cached data resolves the issue in nearly all cases.

Note: There is no loading spinner on the Reseller Control Panel, so a blank screen does not necessarily mean the page has failed. Always wait at least 30 seconds before assuming something is wrong.

Step 1: Reload the page

Force a cache-bypassing reload of the Reseller Control Panel:

  • macOS: hold Shift and click the reload icon.
  • Windows: press Ctrl + F5.

This clears the cache for the OpenSRS site only, without affecting your cache for other websites.

Step 2: Give the page enough time to load

Wait at least 30 seconds, especially if this is the first time you've loaded the page or you're on a slow connection. Because there is no loading indicator, the page can look broken when it is simply still loading.

Step 3: Try incognito or private browsing

Open the Reseller Control Panel in an incognito or private browsing window. The page takes longer to load without cached files, so wait a full 30 seconds.

Step 4: Sign in via the Classic Control Panel and toggle back

Sign in to the Classic Control Panel first, then select Use the new OpenSRS Control Panel to switch back to the new Reseller Control Panel.

Step 5: Try a different browser or computer

Open the Reseller Control Panel from a browser or computer you don't normally use — ideally one without extensions or plugins installed. Browser extensions are a frequent cause of rendering issues.

Step 6: Clear all cookies and cache

As a last self-service step, clear all cookies and cache in your browser. Each browser handles this differently — search for current instructions for your browser version. After clearing, allow the Reseller Control Panel sufficient time to load on the first attempt.

Still seeing a blank page?

If none of the steps above resolve the issue, gather details (browser and version, operating system, the exact URL you're loading, screenshots, and any console errors) and contact OpenSRS Support.

Next steps

  • Bookmark your service login URLs. Keep them handy in case you need to test the issue on a different interface. See the Login URLs for OpenSRS Services article.
  • Learn the interfaces. Understanding what each interface does helps you isolate where the problem lives. See the OpenSRS Management Interface article.
  • Practice safely in Horizon. If you suspect a session conflict between live and test, use Horizon to test changes in isolation. See the Horizon / Test System Accounts article.
