The TLD Reference Chart is your go-to resource for TLD-specific details, including registry providers, grace and redemption periods, WHOIS privacy support, transfer rules, and more. This article explains the chart's TLD types, how to filter and search columns, and what each column represents.
About the TLD Reference Chart
The TLD Reference Chart is a spreadsheet-style tool available in the OpenSRS Help Center. It covers all TLDs supported through OpenSRS and is updated as registry policies change. Use it to quickly look up registration requirements, renewal rules, and policy details for any TLD before registering or transferring a domain on behalf of your customers.
Note: The chart is a read-only reference resource. To manage domain settings, log in to your OpenSRS reseller account.
TLD types
The chart organizes TLDs into four categories:
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| ccTLD | Country-based TLD |
| nTLD | New TLD |
| gTLD | General TLD |
| geoTLD | Geographical TLD |
Filtering the chart
Use filters to narrow results to a specific registry, renewal type, or other criteria.
- Open the TLD Reference Chart and select the Filter icon.
- Select the filters you want to apply.
Tip: Filters are useful for quickly identifying all TLDs associated with a particular registry provider or finding which TLDs support auto-renew.
Searching within a column
You can sort and search within any column to find specific TLDs or values.
- Select the drop-down icon in the upper right corner of the column you want to search, then select Sort sheet.
- In the Filters view, select the three vertical lines icon.
- Select your filters and choose OK.
