My Storefront won't activate or go live

Activation is gated on three setup steps, and the Activate button is a readout of that checklist rather than something to go looking for. It stays inactive until Stripe is connected, pricing is reviewed, and your store settings are configured.

So the question is never why the button is missing. It is which step is still incomplete.

Before you start

Open the Getting Started page in Storefront Manager. It shows the three steps and which of them you still owe.

Step 1: Check you can get into Storefront Manager

Nothing else is possible until you can log in, and the credentials catch people out.

Storefront Manager and the Reseller Control Panel share one set of credentials. A password reset applies to both.

To reset, go to manage.opensrs.com, click Login, then Forgot password. Enter your username and click Send. The reset email goes to the address held on your OpenSRS account, which may not be the address you use day to day.

If the Reseller Control Panel accepts your login and Storefront Manager does not, the credentials are not the problem. Clear your browser cache and try again, or try a different browser. Contact OpenSRS Support if it persists.

Step 2: Find the incomplete setup step

The Activate button only becomes available once all three steps are done:

  1. Connect your Stripe account. Covered in step 3 below.
  2. Review your domain pricing. Set the retail pricing your customers will see, either a default markup across all TLDs or custom per-TLD prices. Reviewing and saving is what marks the step complete.
  3. Configure your store settings. Store name, support email address, Storefront hostname, store status, personal website and branding.

The Getting Started page marks each step, so work from there rather than guessing.

Step 3: Check what your Stripe status actually means

Complete means your account is verified and ready. Nothing to do.

Pending means Stripe is still reviewing your account. This can take a few days, and no action on your side will speed it up. Wait for the verification to finish.

Restricted or Restricted Soon means Stripe needs more information from you. Return to Payments in Storefront Settings and complete the additional steps Stripe is asking for. This status does not resolve on its own.

A Stripe account that is connected but not Complete will hold up activation, which is why a reseller who has "finished" Stripe setup can still find the Activate button unavailable.

Step 4: Check your account balance

A balance below $10 shows a warning on your dashboard and blocks activation. Add funds in the Reseller Control Panel before trying again.

Your custom domain isn't loading the store

This comes after activation, once the store itself is live.

If you see "Enter a valid hostname" when saving, the format is wrong rather than the domain. Check for typos and stray spaces, and leave off http:// or https://. Enter the hostname on its own, for example domains.yourcompany.com (this is an example, not a real address).

If the hostname saved but does not load your store, the CNAME record at your DNS provider is the thing to check. It needs to point to [username].shopco.com. If you have only just made the change, give DNS propagation time before investigating further.

When to contact OpenSRS Support

Contact OpenSRS Support when all three setup steps show complete, Stripe shows Complete, your balance is above $10, and the Activate button is still unavailable. Also contact Support if the Reseller Control Panel accepts your login and Storefront Manager keeps rejecting it after a cache clear and a second browser.
