.SE is the ccTLD for Sweden.

Registration details

Registration details can be found in the TLD reference chart.

Individuals must submit ID card numbers; organizations must submit business registration number. Organizations based outside of Sweden must also submit VAT-ID.

Contact requirements

There are no local presence requirements for this TLD, but the following contact requirements apply:

Swedish Individuals must submit ID card number. The personal identity number consists of 10 digits and a hyphen. The first six correspond to the person's birthday, in YYMMDD form. They are followed by a hyphen. The seventh through ninth are a serial number and the 10th digit is a checksum.

Swedish Organizations must submit their Swedish business registration number. 

Organizations based outside of Sweden must also submit VAT-ID. VAT syntax can be checked here.

Changes of ownership

.SE ownership changes require that the attached document be completed and submitted. The document can be emailed to [email protected].

Authorization code process

The responsible registrar requests an authorization code from the registry. Registry Services then generates the code and returns it to the responsible registrar.

Authorization codes have limited validity for 14 days. Please contact OpenSRS support to obtain an Authorization code for your domain.
