.LOCKER Domain Policies

The TLD for .LOCKER is regulated by Orange Domains LLC

Registration details

Registration details can be found in the TLD reference chart.

After registering the domain, the registrant will receive an Email from Orange Domains asking them to finish claiming their web3 digital identity via a supplied link. Doing so will mint your identity on the blockchain. The registrant will then be able to finalize the setup of their web3 identity and create or link their digital wallet to their new web3 identity.

Your digital identity acts as an NFT and can only be used by the registrant of the .locker domain. Anytime a new registrant Email is updated, the current Identity (NFT) will be burned and a new NFT is issued for the domain name (restarting the setup and minting process described above) as the registrant Email is what links your domain name to your web3 digital identity. This ensures that only one user owns the domain and associated digital identity and not multiple users.

Your web3 digital identity is synced to your domain name and will mimic any domain actions (such as expiration and deletion). As of now, you cannot sell or transfer your digital identity on the web3 side, this must be completed on the domain side (as described above, "new registrant Email")
